A due-date list only tells you so much

A flat list of assignments answers “what’s next?” but not “how heavy is Thursday?” The calendar view spreads the same open assignments across the days they’re due, so workload and deadlines are obvious at a glance.

List Display
  • Reads top to bottom, one row at a time
  • Hard to see which days are overloaded
  • Best for working straight down your queue

  • Every assignment sits on its due date
  • Busy days and gaps jump right out
  • Overdue steps flag in red, up front

From a to-do list to a calendar in one click

1

Give steps a due date

As you build a Workflow, set due dates on its steps — a fixed date or an offset from when the Run starts. Assign each step to the person or role responsible.

2

Switch to Calendar Display

Open the Assignments tab in your inbox and flip the display from a list to a calendar. Your open, assigned steps snap onto the days they’re due.

3

Plan and jump in

Scan the rolling three-week window, page forward or back three weeks at a time, and click any assignment to open that step in its Run.

Your open assignments, laid out by due date

The Calendar Display plots every incomplete step assigned to you across a rolling three-week window — the current week plus the week before and after. Overdue steps stand out in red so the things past due never hide at the bottom of a list.

  • Each entry shows the step and the Run it belongs to, right on its due date.
  • Page back and forward three weeks at a time to look ahead or review.
  • Click any assignment to jump straight to that step inside its Run.

Focus the calendar on the work that matters

The same filters that shape your list shape the calendar. Narrow to a single Workflow, search by title, or — if you’re an admin — look at another person’s, a role’s, or a whole department’s assignments to balance the week across your team.

Look ahead at what’s scheduled to start

Your Runs tab carries its own month calendar of what’s coming: every recurring schedule and one-off future Run laid out on the day it kicks off. Click a future day to schedule a new Run there, and any holidays from your business calendars show up as badges so you can plan around them.

  • Recurring schedules and one-off future Runs plotted by start date.
  • Click any upcoming day to schedule a Run for it.

  • One private feed URL per user, ready to subscribe.
  • Assignments, scheduled Runs, and due Runs all included.
  • Due items carry a reminder 15 minutes ahead.

Where the calendar earns its keep

Managers balancing a team

Filter to a department and see how the week’s deadlines fall across everyone.

Thursday looks slammed → move a due date or reassign a step before it becomes a fire drill.

Onboarding & projects

Multi-day Runs with staggered due dates land on the right days automatically.

See the new hire’s week one at a glance → welcome kit Monday, IT setup Wednesday, first review Friday.

Deadline-driven ops

Overdue steps flag in red so nothing slips past a compliance or client deadline.

Subscribe the feed in Outlook → the whole team’s due dates show up next to their meetings.

The calendar view, answered

Your open, assigned steps that have a due date, placed on the day they’re due. Completed steps drop off, and steps without a due date don’t appear — give a step a due date and it lands on the calendar.

On the Assignments tab of your inbox, open the display menu and choose Calendar Display. The same tab can switch back to a List Display whenever you prefer to work straight down your queue.

It shows a rolling three-week window — the current week plus the week on either side. Use the arrows to page forward or back three weeks at a time to look further ahead or review recent deadlines.

Admins can filter the calendar by another user, by a role, or by a department to see those assignments laid out by due date. Members see their own assignments.

Yes. Each user has a personal iCalendar (iCal) feed in Settings → Calendar Links. Subscribe to that URL from Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, or any iCal-compatible app and your assignments and Runs appear there with their due dates and a reminder before due items.

The Assignments calendar plots individual open steps by their due date over a rolling three weeks. The Your Runs tab has a separate month calendar showing whole Runs that are scheduled to start — recurring schedules and one-off future Runs — so you can plan what’s coming and even schedule a new Run from a day.
