Up to now you’ve been able to set the due dates of steps based on the run start, run completion, and the previous step. Now you can set a step’s due date based on a date collected in a form field in your workflow.
Here’s an example of using this feature in an employee onboarding process, where you might want some steps to be completed days before the employee’s start date and other steps a few days or weeks after their start date.
By using a negative offset, you can set the due date to occur before the date collected in the form. In this example, it is 5 days.
